Nicolas Christ Gurja Himal Trekking Experience Story!

I embarked on a remarkable trekking experience in the Gurja Gaon region of Nepal. Starting from Kathmandu, I journeyed to the quaint town of Beni to begin my trek. From there, I followed the Myagdi Khola upstream, with each step exposing me to picturesque terrace fields and diverse villages inhabited by various cultural groups.

Crossing the Deurali Pass

After crossing the forested Deurali Pass, I finally arrived at the remote Magar village of Gurja Gaon. Located at a breathtakingly high elevation, I was surrounded by panoramic views of the Dhaulagiri mountains. The serene beauty of the village and the warmth of the locals made it an unforgettable experience.

Hiking to Gurja and Chure Himal

I hiked further up to reach a viewpoint near Gurja and Chure Himal, where I soaked in the beauty of the mighty Himalayas and surrounding peaks. The awe-inspiring vistas of snow-capped mountains and the tranquil environment left me in complete admiration of nature's grandeur.

Returning via Jaljala and Myagdi Valley

The following day, I took the other trail to return, which included a trek across Jaljala, before rejoining the Myagdi Valley and continuing towards the town of Ridi. The diverse landscapes and the sense of accomplishment made the return journey equally rewarding.

Highlights of the Journey

Additional highlights of this incredible journey include a mix of cultures, the best view of Dhaulagiri and the nearby Annapurna range, and camping under the stars in the remote mountains.
