All About Langtang Gosainkunda Trek:
Trek to Gosainkund Lake in the Langtang area, which is said to have been made by Lord Shiva. You have to get from Dhunche at 1980m to Gosainkund at 4400m in two days, so altitude sickness can be a problem, but don't worry, many trekkers can make this challenging path without any experience. You first take the bus from Kathmandu to Dhunche (8 hrs), where the trek begins. You can climb to Sing Gompa (3250m) in one day and the next day you make the steep climb to Gosainkund. You can see great views of the Himalayas, from Laurebina Yak (3900m), ranging from Annapurna and Manaslu in the west to Langtang and Lirung in the east. You have to climb a steep hill, Laurebina Yak Pass (4609m), to continue exploring the beautiful Helambu Valley. Well, Helambu is a quite remote area than other trekking trails and you can find people who look similar to Tibetan peoples. There are some very famous monasteries, which touch trekkers’ hearts very quickly.
