From the exotic birds of the Chitwan National Park to the wild species of the Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary, our expert naturalists will guide you to the best locations to see a wide array of birds in their natural habitat. We’ll also take you to Lumbini, Bardiya National Park, Khaptad National Park, Pokhara, Kathmandu, and the Phulchoki Bird Watching Site.
Day To Day Itinerary
Starting From: Kathmandu -Ends By Langtang Valley-Kathmandu
Day 1. Arrive in Kathmandu and transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day to explore the city.
Day 2-3. Kathmandu Sightseeing: Explore the UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Kathmandu, including, the Pashupatinath Temple, Swayambunath Stupa, and tour around the Durbar Squares of Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, and Patan. Visit the Garden of Dreams for leisure time. Spend the night in Kathmandu.
Day 4. Visit Phulchoki Bird Watching Site for a Naturalist guided bird watching tour.
Day 5-7.Drive to Chitwan National Park for a day of Bird Watching tour in the national park. Overnight stay in Chitwan. Drive to Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary and enjoy a day of birdwatching in the sanctuary. Overnight stay in Bharatpur.
Day 8-12. Drive to Lumbini and Birdwatch at Lumbini. Overnight stay in Lumbini. Drive to Bardiya National Park for another day bird watching tour and overnight stay at Bardiya. Drive to Khaptad National Park and enjoy a day of Bird Watching.Overnight stay in Khaptad National Park. Drive to Pokhara and visit few birdwatching sites around the city. Overnight stay at Pokhara.Drive back to Kathmandu and explore few nature and bird watching sites near the city. Overnight stay at Kathmandu.
Day 13. Drive to Langtang National Park and enjoy a day of Bird Watching tour. Overnight stay at Langtang National Park.
Day 14-15. Drive Back To Klathmandu Next Day Departure from Kathmandu.

Nepal Bird watching Spots:
1. Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary: Located in the Chitwan District, the Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary is considered one of the best bird watching spots in Nepal. The sanctuary is home to over 450 species of birds, including herons, egrets, cormorants, ibises and ducks. 2. Khaptad National Park: Khaptad National Park is located in the Far-Western region of Nepal. Located in a remote area, it is home to a variety of flora and fauna including a variety of birds. Common birds that can be observed include long-tailed minivets, pied thrushes, woodpeckers, quails, blue magpies and laughing thrushes. 3. Phulchoki Bird Watching Site: Located just outside of Kathmandu, Phulchoki is known for its forests and the wonderful variety of bird species that inhabit the area. Here you can find birds like asymmer, oriental turtle dove, leaf bird, black winged ketch, khalij pheasant, imperical pheasant and more. 4. Chitwan National Park: Chitwan National Park is another great bird watching spot in Nepal, with a variety of endangered and protected species. Species such as the Bengal florican, white-rumped vulture, spotted owlet, hawks and storks can be found in this national park. 5. Lumbini: Lumbini is another great destination for bird watchers. Here, you can spot a variety of migratory birds like black storks, pratincole, grey wagtail and hoopoes. In addition, species like the rare Bengal florican can be found here.
6. Bardiya National Park: Bardiya National Park is unique for boasting the highest number of Bengal tigers, wild elephants, and the home to the rare species of swamp deer. The National Park is also a top bird-watching spot in Nepal. Some of the birds that can be seen here include Bengal Florican, Black Stork, Slender-billed Babbler, Chestnut-Breasted Partridge, Swamp Francolin, White-eyed Pochard, Wood Snipe, Comb Duck, Grey-Headed Fish Eagle, and many more. 7. Around Pokhara: Pokhara is known for its sprawling lake and mountain views. It is also a great spot for birdwatchers. Here you can find a variety of migratory birds, such as the White-eared Bulbul, Grey-crowned Prinia, White-Browed Fantail, Crested Bunting, Red-vented Bulbul, Ring-necked Parakeet, and many more. 8.
