It involves traversing through high passes located within the Annapurna region, allowing trekkers the opportunity to explore extraordinary terrains and spectacular scenery. Rated as a moderate to difficult trek, one has to pass through Namun Banjyang, Kangla, and the Mesokanta La in Tilicho. Consequently, it’s nicknamed the "Annapurna Hard Way Trek". On this journey, you will be able to marvel at the majestic mountains such as Manslu, Himalchuli, Lamjung Himal, The Range of Annupurna, Tilicho Peak, Nilgiri, Gangapurna, andDaulagiri. Along the way, you will traverse through the villages of Gurung, Thakali and Magar, as well as camp near remote areas. The trek commences with an overland drive from Kathmandu to Khudi. It is then followed by a trek from Bhulbhule to Sange (1136m) on the second day. The third day involves trekking from Sange to Tal (1650m). The following day requires trekking from Tal to Bagarchhap (2164m), and from Bagarchhap to Chame (2730m) on the fifth day. This grueling but rewarding journey is sure to leave an indelible memory in the hearts of the adventurous trekkers.
Trekking in Tilicho Lake, Nepal was one of the most adventurous experiences I ever had. It is one of the least touristy and challenging trekking sites in the country, located at the Annapurna region. It requires trekkers to pass through some great passes like Namun Banjyang, Kangla and the Mesokanta La. This is why it is called “Annapurna Hard Way Trekking”. The area offers spectacular views of Annapurna range, Tilicho Peak, Lamjung Himal and the surrounding mountains. Trekkers also have the opportunity to spot different cultures such as Gurung, Thakali and Magar. It is ranked as a moderate trekking experience with a highest access of 5349m. The only mode of trekking available is camping trek. During the hike, trekkers can observe stunning sights of Himalchuli, Nilgiri, Dhaulagiri, Gangapurna and the highest Lake in the world, Tilicho Lake. My experience with Tilicho Lake Trek was an incredible one and I would highly recommend it for anyone looking to experience the Himalayas.
